CELEBRITY GOLF CLASSIC
Since 1995, KFK's Celebrity Golf Classic has become a summer tradition for many companies and individuals in Greater Cincinnati, Southeastern Indiana and Northern Kentucky. Held at the beautiful yet challenging course at Triple Crown Country Club, the event provides two separate days for participants to experience the essence of a first-class golf outing -- fabulous celebrities, an unparalleled "goodie bag", and being treated like royalty on the course.

Each day, the golfers are greeted by friendly and helpful volunteers as they enter Triple Crown. Their clubs are taken and secured, allowing the participants to register and receive their "goodies" -- such as Nike golf shoes, an Adidas polo shirt and ClimaShell wind shirt, and a glass frame containing a picture of the participant's foursome and celebrity. After a trip to the breakfast buffet, the golfers head over to the driving range to enjoy the always-entertaining Celebrity Long Drive Contest. Once on the course, the participants must then overcome the greatest challenge of the day -- keeping a balance between attacking the difficult pin placements while enjoying the food, drinks and/or contests that are available on just about every hole.

In between the two days of golf, the Pairings Party is held for each day's foursome members and their guests. A catered affair that is punctuated by a heartfelt speech given by a national celebrity, the evening also serves as the place where awards are given out for Monday's golf, sports memorabilia, tickets, jewelry and trips are auctioned off, Tuesday's groups are paired with their celebrity (depending upon their level of support) and a video is shown that displays why all are really gathered that night -- to raise funds for the work that KFK is doing with children at risk in the tri-state.

Our Celebrity Golf Classic has been blessed with the support of hundreds of celebrities over the years, of both local and national prestige. From Bob Huggins to Tubby Smith and Joe B. Hall. Isaac Curtis to Sterling Sharpe. Anthony Munoz to Dermonti Dawson. Archie Griffin to Steve Cauthen. Art Still to Tom Jackson. Mike Vanderjagt to Jan Stenerud.

While all of the golfers are competing for some incredible prizes, the true winners are the children that KFK serves. The event is a beautiful testament to how our community can come together to help local children who are hoping for an opportunity.
