On Monday, December 17th Kicks For Kids hosted its 13th Annual Christmas Celebration. For the second straight year the event was held at Paul Brown Stadium and brought together the joys of the holiday season with the excitement of being in the home of the Bengals. The event gave 50 kids from all over the Tri-state a chance to experience the true joys of Christmas and also some once in a lifetime opportunities that any Bengals fan would envy.
The festive atmosphere of colorful lights and dazzling decorations was enhanced by the presence of Christmas characters such as Rudolph, Frosty and the Grinch. From staring in disbelief at a personalized locker filled with Bengal 'goodies' to running on an actual NFL playing field, to gazing up at their favorite player's personal locker, to being addressed by Marvin Lewis and meeting Who Dey... these 50 kids were feeling on top of the world. And after listening to the Christmas story, spending time with a caring chaperone, choosing two gifts that they would give as presents to their family, taking pictures throughout the night that they could keep forever, and visiting with a gift-bearing Santa Claus, you could see the joy in their eyes!
Thanks to the Bengals, Paul Brown Stadium, Aramark, Insight Communications, Meijer and all of the supporters and volunteers that made this night possible. Because of you, 50 local kids not only left the stadium with their arms full of Christmas gifts, but also new Christmas memories that will last a lifetime.
